Kate graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a BA in Psychology. After working as an assistant at Tutor Time in Okemos and then as a paraprofessional in Bloomfield Hills, she returned to graduate school at Wayne State University to pursue a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She graduated in 2010 and completed her clinical fellowship at Children's Hospital of Michigan. Upon completion of her CFY, she was granted the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's Certificate Of Clinical Competence in 2011.
Since that time, Kate has experience working with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) in multiple settings as well as being an contractor for a private practice focused in the home health care setting treating primarily medically fragile children and young adults.
She continues to work as a contract SLP with the Detroit Institute of Children (DIC) and is a pre-school teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Macomb, MI.
